Intro
Defying his family’s proud military tradition, Harry Faversham (Anthony Steel) decides to avoid the British war in the Sudan by staying at home in London. His fellow officers dismiss Harry as a coward, and his fiancée, Mary Burroughs (Mary Ure), calls off their engagement. The shame eventually compels him to join the struggle.
