Intro
Rita Hayworth is the daughter of wealthy Argentinean nightclub owner Adolphe Menjou. To encourage daughter to seek out a husband, Menjou sends Rita unsigned love notes. Through a series of misunderstandings, Rita becomes convinced that American dancer Fred Astaire is her secret admirer.
